Driven by a desire to support our active military and their families as they were facing the challenges that come with a military lifestyle, Diana Mouring co-founded the nonprofit organization Stars Forward. Their mission is to provide professional and financial resources to help ease the burdens encountered by active duty military.
The organization’s programs are designed to demonstrate gratitude and support, ensuring that military families never feel alone in their journey. The spirit behind Stars Forward was simple – a dedication to “show more than words.” Diana’s commitment to this cause is unwavering.
Stars Forward’s ethos mirrored Diana’s values: an unwavering commitment to the principles of service, gratitude, and empathy. The organization’s initiatives were not loans, but heartfelt gestures of appreciation for the sacrifices military families made in defending the nation.
Diana’s motivation for Stars Forward was deeply personal, inspired by her father-in-law, a third-generation Marine who was not just a mentor but an enduring source of strength. His sudden passing catalyzed Diana’s resolve to honor his memory by building an organization dedicated to getting soldiers and their family’s home during life-altering circumstances.
Diana and her husband exemplify their dedication to supporting those who serve by channeling profits from their entrepreneurial ventures to their nonprofit.
One of their many successful entrepreneurial ventures was the creation of DS Labs. When the pandemic shuttered businesses and cast uncertainty over livelihoods, Diana & her husband demonstrated tenacity by collaborating with a team of exceptional engineers to create a accessible, comprehensive, and affordable cybersecurity solution for not only the large corporations but also for the underserved small to mid-sized businesses. The success of their entrepreneurial endeavors allows them to empathetically support our military through their nonprofit.
